Niccolò Paganini
Niccolò Paganini was an Italian violinist and composer. He was the most celebrated violin virtuoso of his time, and left his mark as one of the pillars of modern violin technique. His 24 Caprices for Solo Violin Op. 1 are among the best known of his compositions and have served as an inspiration for many prominent composers. His musical ability was so spectacular that rumors were spread about him selling his soul to the devil to achieve his musical ability becoming called the "Devil's Violinist". Due to him refusing the last rites from a priest the general majority of people assumed he really sold his soul to the devil.
