J. R. Giddens, American basketball player

Justin Ray "J. R." Giddens is an American former professional basketball player. He was selected with the 30th overall pick in the 2008 NBA draft by the Boston Celtics out of the University of New Mexico. He initially played for the University of Kansas but transferred following his sophomore season. He is the former head coach of the women’s basketball team at Northern New Mexico College in Española, NM. Giddens was selected to the 2003 McDonald’s All-American team.
